Made it to Laos. A bit of a challenge because there were no bus seats available for a couple days. We took a taxi to the border, checked out of Thailand, took a bus across the bridge, and somehow managed to check into Laos. The monetary system (kip) may take a little getting used to with all the zeros. 150000 for a room. 350000 for a boat ride. 45000 for dinner. 250000 for a taxi ride to town.Wow! One needs to have a lot of kip to survive in this country.Leer más
