Mountains around Osttirol

Besides kayaking there is also a loooooot of hiking and climbing options around Osttirol. The fotos show three outings:
A bit of climbing Max and I did on the Italian side of Plöckenpass: super recommended. Though it is a bit of a drive from Lienz, it is still easy to reach. More importantly: there is almost nobody and the beautiful limestone rock is still super frictiony, even for the easier routes.
Hiking with Julia to Karlbader Hütte in the Gailtaler Alps / Lienzer Dolomites: a beautifiul and relatively easy two hour hike with great views. In fact, we liked it so much that we went back the next day with Seba and Max, taking some climbing gear and doing some easy routes close to the cabin (and of course enjoying some good Austrian food).Read more
