Day 3: first day of cycling

First day of cycling. We did 74 km and found an amazing place to camp with a french couple who is roughly doing the same route as we do.
Day 4: windy day

Day 5: Crosswinds all day long

The first day of real patagonian winds. But the last 10 km we had tailwind to the good care of graciela.
Day 6: Good leggs but grazy winds again

Day 7: diner at Maria Jose

After pending 9 hours on the bike and doing only 60 km we arived at jose's farm. He welcomed us and cooked diner. Some sheep meat with rice. Great day again! Hopefully the wind will be less tomorow.
Day 8: Dusty gravel roads

Day 9: finally some asphalt

After 5 days on the road without any towns we finaly arrived in porvenir. Just in time for our dwindling water and food suplies. Now finally a nice shower. Tomorow wr take the ferry to punta arenas.
Day 12: chilling with backpackers

Nothing along the road. Not even a farm to camp. So it's time for some stealth camping again.
Day 14: Missed the border crossing.

Left, right, front and back. Wind was everywhere today. We missed the intended bordercrossing into Argentina. So we decided to take the next one. Found an open gate. So thats were we camp today.

Wind hill's and rain. What started at an easy day turned out to be a really hard day. But made it to Argentina. 110 km and 1050 hm.
Day 16: A perfect day on the road

Day 18: 100 kph winds

Yesterday we were warned by a German guy that today would be 100 kph winds and that we shouldn't go. But we and Johan, a french guy we met the day before, gave it a try. The wind was the worst that we Czytaj więcej
Day 19: We beat the wind

Got up at 5 to be in El Calafate. We did the 42 km in 2 hours. Being in a town on 8 in the morning on a sunday it was hard to find a place for coffee. Now it is time for a hostel.
Day 21: Hiding out with Butch Cassidy.

Day 22: Casa di ciclista de flor

We stayed for 3 nights at the casa di ciclista. Was great fun. We cooked dinner for 30 hungry cyclist and dit some hiking.
Day 24: crossing the border.

Day 25: we made it!

The crossing into chile was hard. 3 hours of hike a bike and pushing the bikes trough streams and up the mountain. The downhill was a steep loose gravel road wich made it hard to go downhill. 2 hours Czytaj więcej
Day 28: First day on the carretera

Setting out of Villa O'Higgins we were followed by a dog. She waited for us at the store and just ran along for the whole 70 km.
Day 29: Climbing with nice views
