    Nuclear Night

    March 8, 2024 in Germany ⋅ 🌙 7 °C

The twin towers of the nuclear power station stand out over the surrounding plains, green and innocuous. I'm not in a protest, but I'm camping here anyway in the warm light of German sustainable energy. The wind mills behind are turning hard, so I better find shelter. Soon as the Roulade lets me worry again.

    Distance covered: 68 km
    Sandal days: 3
    Temperature: 5⁰ C
    Wild camps: 3
    Bicycle tourists seen: many!
    Food: nussecken, brötchens, Rinderroulade

It's been a sunny day, with plenty of nice breaks and food.

TravelerAh great German nuclear. If only they’d kept them all running!

TravelerI'll let you know if my green tent starts glowing. ;-) Sadly I don't think it's coming anytime soon
