    These onesOriginially I wanted to drive to Askja, but the roads are already closed. Too late in the year.So I took the gravel road back to civilization...Sooo many volcanic cones changing their colors with every cloud and perspective...More...and moreMyvatn. Already had the honor 4 years ago in summer with never ending sunsets, just like this one.

    The landscape is otherworldly. No wonder they come here to shoot SciFi movies. Unfortunately the road to Askja is already closed. The good thing is that the land is empty, almost no tourists (just me).

    So enjoying a drive on completely empty gravel roads. Leave the ring road and you are alone. At least at this time of the year I did not see a single car in two hours.    Read more
