I was unfortunately unable to get off the ship today. I was once again IPM (In Port Manning). So all I did was laundry, and nap (a lot). I couldn't even really see the port from a distance because it was a tender port so we were way off shore.En savoir plus

I don't have any photos to include for the Panama Canal because I started work at 6:45am, worked for 2 hours and then ended up in medical being put into isolation for being sick. Where I was stuck for almost 30 hours. We had basically just got to the first lock when I decided I couldn't stay out on decks any longer and went down to my cabin. It was not a fun day. I did however watch us go through part of the locks on the tiny little TV in the isolation room.En savoir plus

Wasn't able to get to much time out in port because I spend the morning in medical but the hour and a half I spent off the ship was worth it. There were monkeys, peacocks, flamingos and so much more all over the place. It was just a 3 minute shuttle ride from the ship. One odd looking bird decided it was my friend and followed me around for a while. There however was a parrot who wasn't a big fan of my camera and decided to try and attach my lens. Then when that didn't work he went for me feet instead. I got some good pictures of him though. I wasn't the only one who made an enemy however. A monkey was on a railing near my friend Jackson and he did not like him very much. Trying to grab him then eventually running away.En savoir plus

After the photography department hosting a very successful Under the Sea party last night I was very tired this morning. I however had a tour to get to that I was very excited for. Today's tour was an aerial tram ride and then a bit of a hike through the woods. I included a picture of the car we were in. It was not very wide with two people sitting side by side and did not look all that safe. It however was a very smooth ride and it was really nice. The ride took over an hour and I got some really good photos. After that we did the mini hike that took about half an hour. Which was not the easiest walking path but had some great plants and flower to take pictures of.En savoir plus

I can now officially say I have been in a submarine. Today I went on a passanger tour to the Atlantis Submarine. Where we went down to a maximum depth of 146ft looking at all the fish in the reef. We saw 3 turtles, some barracudas and a lot more. What also made the day great was that my tour started at 12:15 so I got to sleep in as well. Most of the crew went to a place called Boat Yard which is where I went last time I was here but I much preferred my tour. Doing a tour or going to Boat Yard are really the only options in Bridgetown. Some passangers tried just going into town and found nothing to do. They just kept being warned not to walk down certain streets because it was too dangerous. So they just gave up and went back to the ship.En savoir plus

Having been to this port before I knew this was just a wifi port. A port where there isn't anything to do or see except find wifi. I got off with my friend Jackson (a bar steward) and we walked around for a little while because he has never been here before but then walked back to a Burger King just off the ship. Which is where we are currently sitting using the free wifi. Both of us with lots of updates to do on our phones after so many sea days.En savoir plus

Was suppose to be able to get off and do some shopping in Southampton but took another photographers embarkation so that they could get their family onboard the ship and spend some time with them. So I spent most of the day taking photos of people boarding the ship.En savoir plus

I had to get up early this morning to take gangway photos for 2 hours. After that I decided not to go out again. After freezing for 2 hours when you have a bad cold you don't really want to leave your nice warm bed. Especially when you have a hard drive full of movies.En savoir plus

After not getting off the ship for a very long time I wanted to try and get off today despite my cold. I walked a little ways down the road before it started to rain. With my cold I decided the combination of freezing cold temperature and rain was a bit too much. So I headed back to the ship. I at least got some fresh air for about half an hour.En savoir plus

One again tried to get off today but got to the gangway to discover it's pouring outside. Since I still haven't been able to get rid of my cold I once again decided it wasn't the best idea to go out.

Got off the ship early today to do some shopping. I've never had much time off in Southampton before if I can get off at all so one of my friends showed me all the best places to go. I got some oreos which was very exciting. Even got back to the ship in time for a nap before work.En savoir plus

Got off the ship twice today. The first time I explored a bit more. There was the remains of a carnival but almost everything was closed. All the rides were there along the water but everything was covered up. Only a few food stands and one ride was open. I mostly just exported along the waterfront because everything was closed since it was the afternoon. I then headed back to the ship. My friend Jackson was finishing work so I headed back to the ship and went out a second time with him. It wasn't too long until I started work so we just walked to a nice place I found along the waterfront at the opening to the harbour and then back again.En savoir plus

Had a relaxing day today. Slept in before getting off. Then headed straight to the beach. We could have taken the shuttle into town if we wanted but we decided not to. The beach was just a five minute walk from the ship. We headed out and realized how many ships there were at this port. Having never been here before and never hearing about it before I didn't think it was a major cruise port. There however were 5 other large cruise ships all from different cruise lines docked there as well. Such as Aida and Royal Caribbean. The warm walk to the beach reminded me of the Caribbean. Walking past all the cruise ships, the palm trees and with the beach in view. The beach however was not like the Caribbean. Which was not the nicest. We however enjoyed relaxing for a few hours on the beach, going for a quick swim as well. I got quite a sunburn though.En savoir plus

Having been to this port a few times I asked for this port to be my IPM. So I got to spend most of the day in bed. I didn't get out of bed until 4pm for work and it was great. Tonight however was a very busy night to make up for it.En savoir plus

Couldn't get off to early today because we had drills but got off as soon as they were done. I've been to Cadiz a few times so I've done some exploring here before. I went to the usual plaza that everyone goes to get some pictures and video footage. I then however walked back to the ship and walked the complete opposite direction. I ended up finding a fort along the waterfront which was quite nice for pictures. I also did some shopping picking up some donuts and a very yummy oreo milkshake.En savoir plus

Didn't have a ton of time to get off the ship. After changing some money Jackson and I headed straight to the Hard Rocks Cafe knowing that they have good wifi. We were both very behind on updating our phones. By the time we were done there all we had time left for was quickly running around getting the photos and video footage I needed for work and headed back to the ship.En savoir plus

Almost all the photographers left the ship today. Today is the start of a party cruise. A short, usually 3 day cruise where the ship is full of younger people who are just there to party. It's also used as an introductory cruise to get younger people interested in cruising.
For most departments on the ship party cruises are not fun. We are included in that. Party cruises mean taking lots of photos of very drunk people in a very short amount of time. With very little sleep.En savoir plus

Today all the photographers came back to the ship. Ed and I had to do embark photos again because everyone had to do inductions. Ed and I also had to share the IPM. So I was unable to get off.
