We need to go to Brampton so we decided to make a mini adventure out of it and take the GO Train. On our way back we’ll be getting off at Union for the CN tower and Ripley’s Aquarium. Jackson’s first time on a GO train and first time in Toronto!Read more

CN Tower

First stop was the CN tower! It took around an hour to get to the top because of giant groups of kids. Jackson’s reaction to the glass floor made it all worth it though. It’s safe to say he was not a fan. I did manage to get him on it but only standing on the bars that go through it.Read more

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s was busy but not as busy as the CN tower which was nice. Jackson’s favourite thing we did today and even though I’ve been there before it was fun. I just didn’t get to pet the stingray like I wanted because it wouldn’t come over to us.Read more

Ottawa

Jackson and I got tickets for an advance screening of Disney’s new movie Wish in Ottawa so we have made a mini adventure out of it. Jackson had never been to Ottawa and I haven’t been in a long time. So we did the entire Rideau centre, some of the Byward Market, went to the Parliament buildings and walked along the Rideau canal. A great day away that involved a LOT of walking.Read more

Got checked into the hotel before headed to the theatre. We were both shocked by how nice our room is! The receptionist who checked us in grew up in the same town I did and we were chatting for a bit so we might not have gotten the room we actually paid for.Read more

Toronto Zoo

Jackson had a biometrics appointment in Whitby so we made a mini first anniversary trip out of it and went to the Toronto Zoo. We had lots of fun and managed to get around almost the entire zoo in the short amount of time we had. 10km of power walking later we’ll probably be feeling it tomorrow though.Read more

Quinte International Air Show Day 1

We got my parents weekend passes to the International Air Show for Father’s Day. The first day of the air show was a bit of a bust. Luckily we had the weekend passes so we get to go both days. The first day was pouring rain and very windy. There were some breaks in the rain when a Hercules took off to check the weather. The herc disappeared into the clouds very quickly showing how bad it was. A CF-18 also took off and did a bit of flying and a Globemaster but that was it. We did get around to all the vendors but it was packed from everyone hiding from the rain.Read more
