Lake Waekeromoana

So we actually wanted to make a three-day-trip around the lake in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains. But unfortunately NZ-huts are not as well furnished and equipped as our SAC-cottages... theres running water, not drikable, and thats it! You'd have to carry your own kitchen equiptment, sleeping bag, water and food with you... which was unfortunately not possible for us. So we decided to make a 6h short-trip on christmasday, which was just as beautiful in the middle of the jungle! 🌳

Unfortunately we were camping a bit further up than the ocean, in the windy mountains, and it got to an extend of cuddly 9.4 degrees! I was shivering that night!! ❄En savoir plus
