Hervey Bay

Hervey Bay is home to some of the world's best whale watching encounters in a region recently accredited as a Whale Heritage Site. It is also the stepping off point to World Heritage listed Fraser Island, has some safe swimming beaches along the 16km Esplanade, sheltered and calm, protected by Fraser Island. There is an air of a laid back lifestyle with beautiful parklands, playgrounds, jettys, picnic areas, barbecues, cafes and a bicycle track running alongside the waterfront.
