Caught up with Alison, Codi, Austen and Geo at the water park!

Unbelievable free space with huge slides, splash zone, lagoon and play park!!!

Kids loved it and ended up coming home with Codi for a couple of nights for a sleep over! 💖Read more

Hands down the best free activity 🙌 We all had so much fun, there was big water slides for mum and dad but most of all seeing Olis face light up each time she slid down the water slide and giggled as she ran through the water was the best few hours spent in Darwin so far!Read more

Better than the Palmerston water park, it has longer and curlier slides, 1: red slide, you can only go on with 2 people and it's pitch black, 2: blue slide, smaller than the red slide but faster, 3: yellow slide, smallest slide but the fastest slide.
Apart from the slides it has a fairly big pool and a little water play ground. Best water park yet.Read more

Finally!

Our third time to Darwin and we finally made it to the free water slides at Leanyer.

Four hours worth of water slide fun. Brax manned up and faced his fear and discovered he actually loves water slides! After a little bit of convincing, Brax jumped on a slide, I came down after him ( almost crashing into him), he turned around with the biggest smile and said “ hurry up mum, let’s go again!”.

Not only is there water slides, but there is a pool, splash park, skate park and a huge playground! We stayed until it closed, enjoying a balmy evening in Darwin, pity we didn’t have longer, I could do this everyday 😍.Read more

Waterpark

While we were in Darwin we went to the free water slides at Leanyer.

When we got there I was feeling nervous about going down the waterslide. Mum convinced me to go down and then Lachlie and I kept on going down over and over again.

My favourite water slide was the one that you went down a tube, because the slide was rainbow and you went superfast.

At the waterpark there was also a splash pad, pool, playground and skate park.

At the end of the day we were very tired after walking up stairs all day.Read more

A day in Darwin

We went to the WW2 tunnels that were built during the war but never used. We went to another museum and had massive shells on display and I learnt that currently I’m closer to Dili, Jakarta and Port Moresby than I am to any Australian capital.

There was a cyclone Tracy display. Imagine going to bed Christmas Eve and hearing the sound of metal screaming across the road at 200 miles an hour. Just after midnight , early Christmas morning Tracy hit Darwin with wind speed reaching 195 km/h. When the eye passed over Darwin airport the winds exceeded 260km/h and broke all the weather equipment. It was the greatest natural disaster in Aus history. The mayor of the town Tiger Brennan was drunk after a party at his house on the eve of Cyclone Tracy and fell asleep under his stilted house. He slept through Tracy when he woke up his house had mysteriously disappeared and had ended up in someone’s block of land. Tiger was unscathed.

We also went to Darwin defence museum.

Then a free water park…Yes a FREE water park it was amazing. There were 3 water slides over 14 meters high, swimming pools and parks. All for free.

We also went to a Melbourne stars cricket match and made it on TV!!!!!

At the Mindil markets we bought a Didgeridoo and I ate lots of yummy food.Read more
