Trieste Day 1

We are finally in Italy. We both feel familiar and more comfortable here. The trip to Trieste was uneventful with beautiful scenery.
Trieste is a town set on undulating hills. Taking a walk before dinner was either walking up steep cobbled stone roads and paving or down.
We did a short self guided walking tour of the town and were by chance, treated to the choir rehearsal at the San Giusto Cathedral. The Cathedral was stunning with mosaics from Ravenna and an eclectic mix of architecture.

Nice to be close to the sea again.
