We started our travel bright and early at 4am to the airport, arriving in Bali at 1030am. Walked through visa and immigration checkpoints seamlessly, after doing the visa and arrival card online. We headed for Kai's favourite, Starbucks to have iced matcha latte then was picked up by a driver to Sanur. As we had bought the Rocky Ferry tickets online to get us to Lembongan, we had time to have a quick lunch at a restaurant next door, costing us no more than $20.
The Rocky Ferry was very stable through the choppy sea and we were met by the host of our Sahiba Villas and taken to the villa in a tuk tuk.
The villa was splendid and had all the amenities needed.
We even had our own private swimming pool.
Before dinner we had the most glorious massage for an hour at an unbelievable price of $16 each for the hour.
We walked to a restaurant through very dark streets but weren't in the mood for that sort of food so we walked some more to to find the another chosen restaurant that was shut. Tensions were mounting from hunger and heat until we chanced upon The Rosemary Cafe which turned out to be a great little find selling local delicious fare.
Last time we've been to Bali with the girls there had been amusing instances of frog landing on Swee's head. This time Kai had a burst pipe, tap coming off in her hand, with water coming out with a force flooding the bathroom. Hilarious now, stressful at the time.
That concludes our first day in Lembongan.
