Nusa Lembongan Day 2

An early start this morning. Villa cook named Anie came to prepare fruit, eggs and pastries( croissants) for our breakfast at 615am because we were being picked up for snorkeling tour at 645am.
The pickup tuk tuk was stuck and bogged 10m away from the villa, because the back wheel was just spinning and not gripping the path. After 8 failed attempts, the driver said that he'd call for another transport if he failed on the ninth time. Ruby had a bright idea that we sat right at the back to weigh the rear tyres down for more traction, and it worked. We were finally on our way to the beach to meet our snorkeling tour company called Captain YinYang tours.
Our guide was Putu and skipper of the boat was Kadek. Putu took us to 3 spots for snorkeling. All three locations were teaming with fish and the highlight was seeing 2 turtles at the first spot GT1 and 1 at the last spot called Mangrove Point. I was seasick at the last location as the waters got choppier later in the morning. It was still worth while doing the tour. Still very fascinating and enjoyable.
We were planning to spend the rest of our day at the touristy side of the island.
We had a lovely local lunch at Warung Baruna with coconut water. Yummy food and great service. Then we walked down the streets looking into boutiques and craft shops and finally emerging on the beach. We walked the length of the beach, past sun bronzed and darkened bodies, to a cocktail bar, The Deck. It had sweeping views of the coastline. Our very full bellies still managed to share a large, fresh and delicious tuna poke bowl.
To add to our very full day, we managed to slip another massage in while Kai was getting her hair washed and treated. By the time we got to dinner, we weren't very hungry and rather exhausted . We just had a little dinner and got picked up and returned to the villa. All of us were asleep by 9pm.Læs mere
