Pohara / Wharariki

Wharariki Beach, one of the most interesting and beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. We were lucky it was a rather sunny and calm day. Normally the wind‘s blowing a lot at the northernmost tip of the Southern Island.

From the carpark/campground it‘s about a 20-25min walk to the beach. On our way there we passed by a lot of 🐑 on farmland, forest, and finally ended at the sanddunes. Matilda couldn’t be any happier.

Also saw a couple of seals close by, who chilled at the beach.

We returned after dinner to the beach for a magical sunset 🌅Okumaya devam et
