Well, thanks to Sofie I know that JFK proposed to Jackie. In booth 3. Out of the fact that it is the oldest family owned tavern in Washington, we ate there..
The tavern has hosted also each U.S. President from Harry S. Truman to George W. Bush.
And my red snapper was delicious, by the way.

Vďaka Sofie viem, že JFK požiadal o ruku Jackie v boxe č.3. Mimo toho, že je to najstaršia reštaurácia vlastnená jednou rodinou vo Washingtone, my sme tu večerali.
Taverna hostila okrem nás aj všetkých Amerických prezidentov od Harryho S. Trumana po Georga W. Busha.
A mimochodom, moja ryba chutila výborne.Read more

Visiting George Washington.
Built in 1759 on 200ha, the house of George Washington is standing with a great view on hill, overlooking the plantation, gardens and lake around.
And a special toilet booth at the edge of garden, where one can share a moment and chat with 2other friends at the same time..

Na návšteve u Georga Washingtona.
Dom Georga Washingtona a jeho rodiny bol postavený v 1759tom, umiestnený na 200ha pozemku. Nájdu sa ru plantáže, záhrady a neskutočný výhľad na jazero.
A aj záchodová búdka na hranici záhrady kde si človek môže vychutnať posedenie a rozhovir s 2mi priateľmi naraz..Read more

In 1920s Shaw's U Street has been a vibrant center of African Americans. Full of jazz, meeting points, theaters and other establishments. The city part lost a bit if its glamour due to desegregation taking the customers to other chick parts of the city. Today it seems to me that the district has a lot to offer and the atmosphere is not gone. (for sure not in the evenings)

V 20tych rokoch U Ulica v časti Shaw bola aktívne Afroamerické centrum plné jazzu, divadiel, rôznych obchodov a iných. Táto štvrť stratila trochu svoje čaro po desegregácií, keď zákazníkov priťahovali viac iné štvrte (predtým nepovolené). Dnes má podľa mňa táto štvrť čo ponúknuť a určite jej nechýba atmosféra.(určite nie počas večerov)Read more
