Hop on Hop off 1

We took the Big Bus! 90 minute trip around the major sites of Berlin. Alexanderplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, a couple of different places to learn about the wall, so much history it’s almost overwhelming. Especially when you remember most of it was rebuilt over the past 80 years after surviving a thousand years of history.
The city is vibrant and very cosmopolitan. We are out by Humboldthain park which has a ton of Turkish, Arabian, Indian and other ethnicities living and thriving together. Food choices are amazing with many new mixtures (orange and basil ice cream, not too bad!). We discovered curry wurst is basically a hot dog with more flavored ketchup.
We use the S- and U-Bahn regularly leaving Myrtille inside the garage.
Another retired couple joined us for the next few weeks. This is their first trip to Europe so we are happy to take them places we love.
