„A good journey is a journey where the journey is the reward!“, a wise person once said.

I take that as my philosophy for the trip I am about to go on. And my interpretation of that regarding the planing is, that you should not plan to much and take things as they come. My motto therefore is: „Stay, where it‘s nice and where it‘s not, you better think twice“. That being set, no hostel booking is necessary, (almost) no flights to be scheduled, no hesitation required and my thoughts directed only ahead and never back. Yehaaa, no more planing, live the life in total freedom. But wait, ....
However, as a good German I always have doubts and I like to complain, because otherwise if you’re satisfied, there is no more motivation for progress and improvement, so better never show that you are. Ok then, let‘s think this though once: What do I need for the journey to do it as freely as a want to? Who do I have to say good by to? How, or even if at all, do I document the journey? How do I travel? How the heck do I communicate there? Holy s**t, do I need visas? Where can I get shot? What are the countries norms and traditions? ... How do I pay for everything? And how the f**k do I get there at the first place?

Damn, I thought I do not want to plan! Ok I am an educated person, you can figure this out! ... Ok, this may work! I only plan in such a way, that I am personally prepared, but no planning of the rout or directions I take. Nice, so that would be 1. Travelling Gear, 2. Communication and 3. What awesome food do the countries have? I guess that is about it. Let’s do it.

    Looking forward, Julius
