2.2 Snorkelling in Silfra (Thingvellir)

Another very expensive event, but when do you have the time (or chance) to this again?

Snorkelling in Silfra was ..... very cold ..... in the first place. But only your face and your hands. Luckily, you wear a dry suit. Still, the water temperature is 2°-3°C! Can’t help it, I needed to do that. So we went on a fabulous and impressive float through the crack that splits the North American and Eurasian tectonic plate. Look at that awesome clear water ... gorgeous!

The money was totally worth it. And the Mexican guides were sympathic and likeable. Even got some contacts and tips for Cancún and south Mexico.Read more
