4.1 Staying at BahaSea in Nassau

Had a lucky dip by choosing a very nice hostel/hotel called BahaSea Backpackers (https://bahasea.com). Definitely a recommendation.
(If anyone is ever going to the Bahamas, go there. You can have a dorm bed or a private room. However, everyone uses the same public area, which creates a wonderful atmosphere. Suitable for all ages.)

Nassau, by the way, is the capital of the Bahamas and it is located on the island “New Providence”. Connected to this is “Paradise Island” on which the Atlantis Hotel and Resort/Adventure Park is, which is mostly referred to as being in Nassau. However, the locals strictly differ between New Providence and Paradise Island.

Another Fact: The Bahama Dollar is tied the the US dollar, meaning it always has the same exchange rate. Makes everything very expensive. Good thing about this: You can pay with both currencies.Read more
