    6.6.2 Visiting a turtle farm

    October 16, 2018 in Mexico ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

It is a obligation to visit the turtle (not tortoise) farm on Isla Mujeres. For all the non-zoologists of you (twinkle), turtles are the animals with the big shell around their body and fins to swim (lives in the water). Tortoise are the animals with the big shell around their body and legs to walk (lives on land).

It was interesting to see and look at those little things, ... they are so cuuuuut! *Laura!

However, the living conditions are not very good on those farms. As you see, they live in very simple tanks/pools and have not much space and fun.

¿Did you know?: turtles and tortoises can feel through their shell because it is grown to their body. It’s about as much as you can feel someone poking your finger nail form above.
Learned that together with my lovely aunt Laura, who will most likely love this post!
