12.2 Soursop Hostal

Founded and built by an American couple, the Soursop Hostal is named after a tree that grows there and of which tee is made every day. You can also eat the fruit, but non was ready at the time I was staying there. Apart from that, there are other fruits and vegetables, which are all grown on a property behind the one the hostel is on.

It feels super great there and more like a family life, rather than a hostel. Liked it a lot. I also tried the cacao fruit meet. So the inside of the cacao fruit contains the seeds and looks like a pomegranate (Granatapfel in German). So there is this wired filling mass between the seeds. And guess what ... it taste like mango and is super sweet. Who would have thought that?Read more
