St Gilgen cable car

An old cable car, with tiny, very spaced-out cars. Which means it only moves just under 4 people a minute at maximum capacity.

So it's a very pleasant 16 minute ride up, with good views. But over an hour in the queue to get on. And the same back down.

At the top there are plenty of alms, and a huge choice of walks - although very few blue ones. We did the pilsen panorama rundweg. About an hour on good paths, and not too much up and down. Certainly can't fault it on the panorama aspect: mountains in all directions (with regular signposts to tell you what mountains they are) and several lakes overlooked. Also some helpful posters of footprints and flowers you may see. The latter had a bee rather confused because it could see beautiful huge flowers, but not get into them.Okumaya devam et
