Spontaneous Half Marathon

At 5pm yesterday as Lauren and I were strolling through the old city, we stumbled upon the expo for the Chiang Mai Marathon, which was happening that night at 2am (yup, you read that right). In the spirit of spontaneity while traveling, we figured what the heck, let’s sign up for the half marathon!

So a few hours later, we ran 13.1 miles under a full moon, through the streets of this amazing northern Thai city.

I haven’t run in weeks and only shorter distances, so it was a lot slow and a little painful towards the end, but an awesome experience nonetheless.Read more
