Short trip to Myanmar

Short overnight to Tachileik, Myanmar, the town on the other side of the Thai border, to extend our visa. In a way it feels a bit like Thailand's Tijuana, with gambling, girls and garbage in your face much more so than in Chiang Mai. But excluding all that, we found it to be an interesting trip, the surrounding mountains were beautiful and people very friendly and welcoming, especially those working at the border control!Read more
