Cusco

As often happens in these countries , we were steadily converged on by ones wanting to sell us everything from gum to art and clothing (some were quite beautiful). Other than a protest rally over top government corruption and concern for their pensions it quieter this morning than last night. Our hotel room is on the second floor and faces onto one of the main streets so is very noisy at night (Peru can be even noisier than Mexico).

We found out that it is actually prohibited for vendors to try to approach and try to sell us things while we are in the park. We didn't know that until after Valerie had purchased a small painting from a fellow who told us he painted the pictures himself.
