Sunrise @ Mesa Arch Canyonlands NP

Early to bed, early to rise... when ResoNate woke up at 6:30, we decided to watch sunrise from Mesa Arch. Unfortunately so did everyone else. We had the last space in the parking area and the arch was packed with people under and around it. After a few moments there realizing we weren't going to see the sun rise through the hoards, we walked to the left and found an amazing view looking back on the arch. We didn't realize that the sun reflecting on Aztec Butte was going to be the brightest we saw all day. 0.7 mile hike.Read more
