Dehradun

Dehradun ist die Hauptstadt des indischen Bundesstaates Uttarakhand und liegt im malerischen Doon-Tal am Fuß des Himalayas.

• Lage: Die Stadt befindet sich im Norden Indiens, eingebettet zwischen den Flüssen Ganges und Yamuna.

• Klima: Das Wetter ist oft mild und angenehm, besonders im Vergleich zu den heißen Ebenen des Landes.

Da wir morgen bereits weiter nach Uttarkashi reisen haben wir den Tag heute etwas ruhiger gestaltet. Wir sind zu einem Ausflugsziel etwas ausserhalb von Dehradun gefahren das auch von Einheimischen besucht wird.

• Climate: The weather is often mild and pleasant, particularly when compared to the country’s hot plains.

As we’re travelling on to Uttarkashi tomorrow, we’ve taken it a bit easier today. We drove to a lovely spot just outside Dehradun which is also popular with locals.Read more
