Trip from Dehradun to Uttarkashi (Kuflon Basics)

Heute sind wir um 07:30h in Dehradun losgefahren Richtung Uttarkashi in die gebuchte Unterkunft Kuflon Basics. Für die 152 km waren wir etwas mehr als 5 Stunden unterwegs. Es hat gerüttelt und geschüttelt während dieser Fahrt. Die Strassen sind in einem schlechten Zustand. Dazu kommt noch, dass auf vielen Teilen der Strecke Erdrutsche die Strasse noch weiter verengen oder sogar ganz blockieren. Dafür sind wir jetzt in einem total von der Aussenwelt abgelegenen Resort. Wie der Name auch sagt ‚Basics‘ ist auch hier der Komfort entsprechend. Ist aber genau das was wir jetzt brauchen😆 hier mal Eindrücke von der Fahrt und vom Resort bei der Ankunft. Weitere Eindrücke von der Umgebung folgen. Wir sind für 3 Nächte hier.

Today we set off from Dehradun at 07:30am, heading for Uttarkashi to our booked accommodation, Kuflon Basics. The 152 km journey took us just over 5 hours. It was a bumpy and jolting ride. The roads are in poor condition. On top of that, landslides along many sections of the route narrow the road even further or even block it completely. But we’re now at a resort that’s completely cut off from the outside world. As the name ‘Basics’ suggests, the level of comfort here is exactly what you’d expect. But that’s exactly what we need right now 😆 Here are some impressions of the journey and the resort upon arrival. More photos of the surrounding area to follow.
