Navigating winding roads with unforgiving low walls
Along dappled ‘plane tree’ archways, shady and tall.
Queuing up at the many tolls for a fee to be paid
Renaults, Peugeots and Citroens all French made.

Transportation on two wheels appears favoured over four
I’ve esteemed admiration for those brave cyclists for sure.
As twisting country tracks are so butt clinchingly slender
Often resulting in missing wing mirrors plus the odd fender.

Visiting Ales, Aigueze, Arles, Vogue and Uzes
St. Guilham-le-desert and La Roque sur Ceze.
    Gordes, Menerbes, Mirmande and Marsanne
Le Poet-Laval, Rousillon, Lourmarin and Lussan.

These places are all known as French villages ‘plus beaux’
Châteauneuf du Pape infamous for red wine and a château.
Carry-Le-Rouet, Sete and Cassis nestle on the Mediterranean
Most memorable was Bouzigues known for fresh crustaceans.

Devouring crispy pomme frittes alongside steamy moules
Watching crowds gather for a game of beachside boules.
Relaxing with a sunset vino, makes your heart melt
That Provençal experience never forgotten, once felt.
