Occasional the beaches provide an awesome sight
Yet the North Sea water always contains a chilly bite.
Perfect for the dolphins and seals often seen at play
When strolling the firm sands or a raised causeway.

Lambs and crops rapidly growing with Spring in full bloom
Bluebells, campion plus abundant yellow of gorse & broom.
Deer, hares and partridges scatter as you drive by
Swifts and swallows nesting, busily swoop in the sky.

Three weeks flew past but we left behind a colourful display
Side trip to Stonehaven then onto Dundee’s museum V & A.
Strawberry punnets filled for our tea at a pub stay in Cupar
Its proximity to the airport ensured us not travelling too far.

In Falkland explored with a good stroll around the block
Then saw Midhope House, a.k.a Outlander’s, ‘Lallybroch’.
Returning the hire car felt like we were in a corral
Finally on a plane to our next destination, Portugal.Read more
