• Farms, Putt-Putt and Wildfire

A day of farming, well sort of. We went to pick up the weekly box of fruits and vegetables that Aimee’s family subscribes to and shares depending on each family’s needs. Very civilized. Of course, we found many other fruits we “needed” and the extra credit melons we got were great. Then we were off to the sunflower and wildflower farm down the road "a piece". It was worth the trip, as we took some great sunflower photos that can’t help but make you smile.

Then with clippers in hand, we each picked some beautiful wildflowers to make a great table centerpiece. After “delivering” the fruits, veggies and fresh eggs we had picked up, we made our way back to Aimee’s house. An afternoon/evening of drinking in preparation for "putt- putt" with Julie’s family. We had fun at Putt-Shack, a cool indoor version of the outdoor putt-putt we grew up with BUT with a twist. It was computerized with each ball coded for each person and it ”knew” when you hit it, and what your score was, no cheating on strokes. Yes, of the nine of us, Karen won (see photos)!

Lastly, in the name of memories, we went for a drink, not just any drink, but a stormy night. Not just anywhere, but at Wildfire. This week was Wildfire’s 25th anniversary and Karen and Aimee have been drinking Stormy Night’s at Wildfire for TWENTY-FIVE years!
