• Darwin, Australia - Street Art Festival - 2 of 3

    April 18 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 90 °F

What a great surprise I had when I walked far off the beaten path and found incredible street art … dozens of paintings (see some of them in the photos) as part of the Annual Darwin Art Street Festival. They were so amazing and entertaining. The Darwin Street Art Festival (since 2017) is graffiti art, although I’d call it more of an outdoor art gallery. It is done by wonderful artists that live or come to this join in this very creative and diverse community. We are in Darwin a month before the festival opens (5/22-6/5) so although I saw lots of great art, many of the art pieces by the 100+ artists, have not been completed yet. They are organized by themes (military, tropical, party, urban, hidden canvas and color explosion) although they are all very creative and thought provoking. I had to rush back to meet up with Karen.Read more
