• Sea Day -Red Ginger, Christine and GLORIA!

    June 1, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ 🌧 81 °F

    (3 videos- Christine and Kristine)
Catchup day with a super dinner at Red Ginger (always our favorite restaurant of mixed Pan-Asian cuisine). Karen favorite is the Miso-Glazed Sea Bass, universally praised as an exceptional, melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece but for the first time she had the incredible JUMBO prawns and loved it. My favorite is Spicy Duck and Watermelon Salad (yes, every time) and Seven-Spice Crusted Lamb Rack OR Malaysian Beef Penang (short ribs, that was tonight). Yes, lots of appetizers and side dishes too and the unforgettable Bounty cake (coconut, chocolate chips and vanilla bean) and the Exotic Fruit Sherbet Trilogy (coconut, mango and vanilla). Panache string quartet played From France with Love.

We loved the show with Christine Allado (her second show) and had to sit upfront and center. She sang some favorites from Hamilton and others but my favorite was her version of Maria from the 60th-anniversary production of West Side Story.

The evening ended with LATIN FEVER and my favorite Gloria Estefan medley that Kristine learned for our late night music just for me. This time I didn't dance like the first few times but just listened to her and recorded her.
