Class of 2026 inductees (officially November 14, 2026) to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are:
-Performer (artists who have made significant impact on the evolution and development of rock and roll): Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Oasis, and Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division / New Order, Sade, and Luther Vandross.
-Early Influence Award (musicians whose pioneering styles and artistry directly influenced and paved the way for rock & roll): Celia Cruz (Cuban salsa icon), Fela Kuti (Pioneering Afrobeat musician), Queen Latifah (Hip-hop trailblazer and multi-faceted artist), MC Lyte (Influential golden-era hip-hop lyricist), and Gram Parsons (Country-rock visionary). Love the Queen!
-Musical Excellence Award (songwriters, producers, and session musicians whose behind-the-scenes creativity has dramatically shaped music history): Linda Creed (soul songwriter), Arif Mardin (producer behind numerous pop, soul, and jazz classics), Jimmy Miller (producer known for his work with the Rolling Stones), Rick Rubin (Def Jam co-founder and highly influential cross-genre producer)
-Ahmet Ertegun Award (for being the non-performer with most impact): to Ed Sullivan as the premier American launchpad for the Beatles, Elvis and others.

We enjoyed 2 hours while in downtown Cleveland at The Museum of Illusions. (MOI) Yes, we know that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is there and we love it but we have been there a few times, and it takes a full day to enjoy the permanent as well as new exhibits so we just spent a little time outside listening to new performers.

The Museum of Illusions started in 2015 and is now global in 25 Countries with each location giving a unique, location-specific experience. The MOI features more than 60 exhibits and is often part of a STEM curriculum at schools due to its fascination of science and psychology. The summary is that it blurs the differences between what you see and what you think you see and what is real (maybe like real life). The areas of focus are includes the immersive perspective rooms (with a room where you appear to grow into a giant or shrink into a dwarf depending on where you stand and the upside down room, which completely flips the room so you seem to walk on the ceiling). The vortex tunnel has a rotating cylinder surrounding a completely flat, stationary walkway. It tricks your brain and balance into feeling like the entire room is spinning around you. Dizzying! In the reversed room and building Illusion, you are levitating upside down on a basketball court. From the cloning table to the beuchet chair and head on a platter, you defy gravity, multiply yourself, or lose your head, literally. The holograms & stereograms area is a collection of 3D holographic images and optical illusion paintings that change shape, disappear, or jump off the walls as you walk past them. Of course there is a “smart” playroom with wooden puzzles, brain teasers, and geometric games to drive you crazy (i,.e, a simple one that Karen figured out had over 150 steps to finish).Read more
