Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda!

The magic of Jinja is tricky to put into words. Vibrant, relaxed, busy, and the unmistakable call of the Nile, demanding that you come and play. And play we did. Setting out for a day of rafting (in my case) and tandem Kayaking in the case of David, we loved every moment with Nile River Explorers! We came, we pretended to be otters, we got wet, we laughed, we worked our bodies, and we got thoroughly washed clean by the glorious Nile!

Another gem nestled away in Jinja is the Kilombera Weaving. Large old looms are being operated with rhythmic dances in which the weavers use their arms, legs, feet, and breath to create things of beauty.
