We started out on a beautiful early morning walk along the sea park. There are stunning art installations all along the wall. We found a gem of an artisan market with beautiful health foods and treats. By lunch we had walked about 6 kms to reach Victoria Wharf. A very fun bustling area. After lunch it was time to take the ferry over to Robben Island (11km off the coast of Cape Town) for the sobering history lesson of the prison where Nelson Mandela and many apartheid leaders and activists were imprisoned. This lovely soul Mr. Mbatha was one of those prisoners from age 24 to 31. He shared his memories and accounts of his time imprisoned there. We returned for another wonderful dinner and to see the jovial life of the people out for the evening.Read more
