On the way to the Sahara (via Midelt)

Half day in the bus. 4 hours on the road. Left the bustle of Fes and headed through to the Atlas Mountains to Midelt. Passed some wild monkeys on the way - one with a bub. There is a large Berber community in this area - many who were nomadic and now are not. Lunch was amazing and our accommodation quite special. Went for a decent walk around some of the countryside and had afternoon tea with a Berber family.Read more
