Sacramento

From San Francisco, we drove to Sacramento for our next house-sit in Fair Oaks. Here, we met Kiersten, Jaime, and Griffin, who hosted us for the night before heading away on holiday. We stayed here for 2.5 weeks, looking after their 3 cats: Manolo, Isadora, and Kitty. The house was like staying at a retreat, with a tranquil backyard, pool, and spa. It even had local peacocks roaming around! Of which we were instructed to slingshot out of the trees...

Here are some highlights of what we got up to during our stay:

× LOTS of sunning, reading, and swimming
× Biked along the American River Bike Trail
× Visited the markets and jazz fest in Folsom Historic Village
× Visited wineries in Amador ($15 wine tastings) and Napa ($60 wine tastings)
× Kayaked in Folsom Lake and saw deer
× Went into Sacramento to the Kings fan zone to watch the basketball
× Explored Old Sacramento mining town and visited a brewery
× Drove through snowy mountain roads to the stunning Lake Tahoe
