Don't believe the estimated hiking time!

Last night violent thunderstorms struck in the valley in the dark of night sending rain and hail but little relief from the heat. But this morning, the air was crisp and clear, we we headed towards a waterfall that looms far in the distance in view from our home. A bus from our home took us to the end of the valley and then we hiked for, well, forever, always telling ourselves “just one more bend.” Two hours later we made an executive decision to turn around.
