Travel day to Seville, Spain

We took a 3 hr bus from Faro, Portugal to Seville, Spain. Like most travel days, we arrived, found our hostel, bought some groceries and then just explored a bit.

Seville is interesting in that they have a “siesta time” - literally everything shuts down from 4-8pm. The city is absolutely dead. Then at 8:00, everything and everyone comes alive. We arrived at 4:00, and saw there wasn’t much to see yet - so relaxed a bit in our hostel and came back out at 9:00. Crazy the difference!!

I noticed that after being in the quiet and peace of the beach life of Lagos and Faro for 5 days I am very overwhelmed with the city noises of Seville. It’s so loud in comparison.

The city appears to be absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see more of it tomorrow.Read more
