    We made our way by bus to Naples, Italy! Was only 2 1/2 hrs south, pretty comfy ride in a well air conditioned FlixBus. Starting to wonder why we even drive cars - these buses are AWESOME! Enjoying letting someone else do the driving.

    We got checked into our B&B, cooled down in the air conditioning and then took off exploring some. We took a tour of the Catacombs of San Gerrano - the first time I’ve seen catacombs and found it pretty fascinating. most of what we saw was from 300ad.

    Not quite sure what I think of Naples so far. The small amount I’ve seen is REALLY filthy, smelly, just plain nasty with garbage lining the streets. Really sad. And you combine the intense heat with the garbage, and the smell is pretty bad. I’d like to think it’s just “garbage day” but I don’t think so from the way it looked.
