Selkirk to Hawick

Another early start to catch the 07:45 bus from Hawick to Selkirk so that we could do the walk in reverse, as before.

The forecast was for cold winds so we added warmer clothes and I dropped the shorts. The weather varied between cold and quite warm when the sun came out and there was shelter.

Crossed the highest point on the Borders Abbeys Way and did the most ascending (over 1500’) in a day, but still arrived at our destination by 13:30.Read more
