  • Day 154

    Picton

    February 23, 2015 in New Zealand ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

On Monday we finally crossed the strait between the North and the south island on the night ferry. After arriving at 6 am we killed a couple of hours in a local cafe and walked a bit around Picton which is probably a very nice little town. Especially when the sun shines which it didn't for us ;).

We are now on our farm in Blenheim and we guess we won't be blogging all that much from here. The family is nice, the area is beautiful. The first two days Claire spent doing stuff inside the house as well as some labelling and she might get to do some design stuff which could be exciting. Karsten spends his days carrying a load of barrels but mostly building beehives including dipping parts of them in boiling wax. Tomorrow we'll get to move into our container which should be nice! We both hope we'll get to do some gardening but that remains to be seen...

We haven't gotten around to taking pictures here yet because we are busy in the mornings and tired after we knock off so these are exclusively Picton pictures. But we'll post some later.
