End of another journey 💕

We abruptly decided to make our way off the island and back to Okotoks. The forecast was gloomy and I didn’t think I could do 10 days of rain. Again. A ferry ride from Nanaimo, a long day of driving then we stayed in Revelstoke for the night. The next day was lighter and a beautiful drive through Roger’s Pass, Banff National Park, then the old 22 through Diamond Valley like old times.

I was not doing well mentally, suffering from decision making fatigue and a serious case of SADS. Everything was damp and we were always cold. I was craving a familiar place to lay my head for a while and wanted running water. And more reliable sunshine. And ice. Four months without a freezer was hard. It’s the little things we take for granted…🤣
So happy to be laying in my old king size bed at the in-laws listening to the familiar footsteps of family and the fur babies upstairs while I type this. Grateful for the experiences we’ve had so far, grateful for the truck and vanbulance that have housed us on the road, grateful to have lots of people and places that welcome us back to crash until we are ready to move on again. xoLæs mere
