Great day on the lake today. The outboard worked like it should. We did end up on different lakes than planned. Those of you that know me and our lakes here, know the driving force to go to Lake Mendota, is Babcock ice cream at the UW Memorial Union. This morning I called the alumni association there and learned they’ve already pulled their docks. 😥. So I decided we go to Babcock Park on Lake Waubesa, which is closer, and launch there, Cruised around Lake Waubesa and then up the Yahara River to Lake Monona. Along the river stopped at Buck and Honey’s restaurant for lunch. Cruised around Lake Monona, then returned to Lake Waubesa and Babcock Park.
