    A Night at the Opera

    30 de abril de 2023, Estados Unidos ⋅ 🌧 13 °C

NYC 🥳 Thanks to the Jetlag I started the day super early but still in a good mood 😅 pro of being up that early, I had Times Square almost for myself. Con, most shops aren't open yet making it difficult to find some breakfast.

Since I didn't really have time to plan anything in advance, I just went with the flow and started exploring the city by foot. With the shops open, I had to celebrate being back in North America with a cinnamon bun 😋 Didn't disappoint 🤩.

Unfortunately, the wheater wasn't so good and only got worse. Nevertheless, I already saw some iconic buildings like the Flatiron Building and the Empire State Building (hiding in the clouds). Not surprisingly, eventually I ended up in a book store. The Strad bookstore has ober 18 miles of book shelves and was absolutely amazing 🤩.

Unsure what to do with the rainy afternoon, I headed to Licoln Centre and ended up getting some discounted last minute tickets for the Metropolitan Opera 😅. As a well known opera expert I was totally aware what Verdis Aida had in stall for me. Just kidding, Wikipedia had my back here 🤓. The building and the whole show was absolutely impressive: huge Egyptian stage design, funny costumes, a gigantic orchestra and very loud italian singing 🤯 Oh and at some point there were actual horses 😅. Definitely, an experience.
