    May 1, 2023 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

Waking up to sunshine I fell back into old backpacking habbits and booked a free walking tour first thing in the morning. I made my way down to Soho where the tour was about start. We explored Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown. Apart from talking about food quite a lot I learned about the cast-iron buildings. The facades are actually made out of cast-iron resulting in them being magnetic. Obviously, I had to try it out. Hihi 😇

After the tour I teamed up with a Canadian solo traveller and we went for the Staten Island ferry: Manhattan Skyline and Lady Liberty ✅️

Back on the mainland, I walked trough the financial district with its famous bull and trinity church ending up at the 9/11 memorial. From there, I continued towards Brooklyn Bridge but the amounts of tourist was unbearable. Maybe next time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Last stop of the day was Rockefeller Centre. The famous ice rink is a roller skating rink in summer 🌞. I'm not sure how many steps in total I made, but me feet were definitely hurting at the end of the day. Machste nichts 😅

Oh, I also found my perfect Hipster breakfast: Acai Bowls 😋💸
