To Molokai

An early trip to the airport with breakfast there. Our flight on the UAL 777 went well, tho again a full plane with minimal food. We arrived in Honolulu a half an hour early and made our way to the tiny Mokulele airline terminal via the Wikiwiki bus. We found out that we could walk to some little eateries, which we did, and had a late lunch. Our friends, Leona and Tom, met us at the terminal and we soon boarded the 8 passenger plane. It was a quick 35 minute flight with a kind of scary landing..there was a tailwind, so tho we were at low altitude, and had to ascend quickly and try again (apparently not uncommon here). Whew! Got our Jeep and set off for groceries and then the house. The town is tiny and not at all geared to tourists, fine with us! Found the house and had some trouble getting into the front gate but did in the end. The evening ended with us all sitting outside enjoying the trade winds, geckos calling, snacks and drinks.
