    After a tour of the Acropolis Museum, our tour of the Acropolis was rained out. We took advantage of the opportunity to find a quiet out-of-the-way restaurant, complete with meatballs, Greek salad topped with a huge wedge of feta, zucchini balls, eggplant compote, and carafe of red.Read more

  • Hydra Eats!

    What a fabulous day trip to the Isle of Hydra. While the students were on their own, we strolled the harbor and rested with some tzatziki and rose, then walked the Mediterranean Sea Wall to the distant beach town of Vlichos, where we enjoyed another Greek salad with feta and another carafe of red.   • Lontos, with Acropolis View!

    While most of the students went today to Mykonos, we enjoyed our own time in Athens. Dinner at Lontos starting off with great wine and feta grilled in honey and black sesame seeds. Then, fantastic lamb bolognese and unforgettable views.Read more

  • Departure Dinner

    Students returned from Mykonos safe and sound (thank goodness!). Ended our program with our last dinner. More Greek street food - meatballs, sovlaki - but also some fabulous seafood entrees.

    What a wonderful first day of relaxation for just the two of us. After settling in to our pension, we settled in to a view of the Mediterranean, some Greek pizza, and another Greek salad. Perfect!

  • Decompression Day

    Relaxation Day. Michele went to the beach in the morning, while Dan did a bit of work with yet another chocolate calzone. Then an early dinner with the most enjoyable food we had on our trip, at a little sidewalk taverna Aiolas. Red pepper puree, Artichoke with lemon sauce, Greek meatballs, stuffed peppers, pear sponge cake, all topped off with ouzo.Read more

  • Last day in Athens!

    Left Nafplio after a final breakfast on the mezzanine and a quick trip to the Blue Blanc, which finally opened that morning. Ended back in Athens on another student recommended rooftop and a final dinner of Greek salad and Sausage with live music in the courtyard with some new friends, who happened to be restaurateurs from Charlotte!Read more
