Atherton Tablelands.

The whole of the Tablelands is beautiful to see. Tropical rainforest, clean flowing creeks and rivers and pretty little towns. On the way up to Yungaburra we stopped at Heales Lookout (my maiden name! 😁) for a photo.
We stayed at Yungaburra, and visited Lake Tinaroo, The largest wooden pub in Australia at Malanda, and The Curtain Fig Tree. There are lots of parasitic fig trees in this general area. They start off as a seed dropped by a bird and grow as a vine up a host tree, sending their roots down to the ground and eventually strangle and kill the host tree.
